Family Dog I

This 8-week class is for dogs of any age (please look at the Puppy Kindergarten description for puppies under 16 weeks!). Using positive reinforcement techniques, we believe that dog training should be fun for both human and dog alike!

This class introduces basics such as eye contact, sit, down, stay, settle, leave it, drop it, come when called, loose leash walking, go to your mat & more as time allows! We’ll introduce training options for the competition and therapy dogs. The goals of the class are to teach the dog to look to their handler for guidance, calm themselves and develop self control, while teaching the handler basic dog training formulas, management techniques, and problem solving strategies. Learn how to incorporate exercises into daily life to create a happy and cooperative friendship between you and your dog.

The first class is a Mandatory Human-Only orientation

For our Super Dog package, pair the Family Dog I and the Family Dog II class. Register for both at the same time for $275.00 a savings of $30.00

Cancellation policy for all Happy Tails Obedience programs:
We depend on meeting our enrollment numbers to start each class, so your withdrawal may affect class schedules.
•If you withdraw prior to the start date and outside of the 36 hours prior to the scheduled start time, there is a $25 fee.
•If you withdraw from class within 36 hours of the scheduled start time, there is a $50 fee.
•There are no refunds after class begins.
Occasionally, we may need to postpone a class based on low enrollment, but it is unfair to do so on such short notice
